I hauled it to my old house where I grew up because we had to close our family business I was u-hauling equipment out of there to another restaurant. My friend and I were then talking about the sale of Anheuser Busch and I told him about the sign. He convinced me to open it after a few beers so we did. This thing was actually a bar mirror, and it lit up like a Christmas tree when we plugged it in. It's maybe 3 feet tall and 5 feet wide. On the mirror is the millennium 2000 Budweiser logo and after it lit up you can see a pool table. He offered me 500 bucks and I laughed thinking he was joking. Later that day he said he had a friend that wanted to buy it for almost a thousand. I began to wonder why my buddy was being so persistent on getting this sign. I'm being "pressured" to go to college?

I'm not sure if I even want to pursue any other higher education. The only thing that interests me is auto mechanics but I tend to forget many small details. My teacher is telling me I HAVE to go to college because I'll be doomed to work minimum wage if I don't. But with this terrible economy I wouldn't want to leave school in debt since many college graduates are having trouble finding work. This goes for people with good degrees and not just the useless liberal arts ones, philosophy, etc. If I were to work minimum wage I'd at least be free from debt. I'm being faced with a litany of paperwork should I decide to go to college and I have only 2-3 months to decide. It sucks that there are no decent jobs that don't require college anymore. It seems like I have to plunge into college debt if I want to earn a decent wage now.

Hi ! alright, so I really, really like my guy friend & I didn't actually realize this until him, I, and some of our friends hung out together one day. It was the first time he & I have hung out outside of school. I'm in the military and don't have a problem serving with gays. Unfortunately, I don't think I'm in the majority. A lot of the guys think it would be uncomfortable and it would be a distraction. While DADT was a good solution, I don't feel it's constitutional. The men threw a fit when women became a part of the military, but they have adapted. I think the same will happen in this case. For me personally, I think DADT is discriminatory and should be repealed. The main reason military personnel quit is to make significantly more money as a contractor doing the same job. Perhaps politicians should address that instead.

I am a very lazy person and i guess that is really bad because i want to have everything and i really don't feel like putting any effort to work for all the money i want, for the car i want, for the college i want to go to, etc. Recently i read about how you can get whatever you want through the subconscious mind. I read a couple of e-books about it, one of them said to take a picture and write mine all over it and put it on your wall, wake up in the middle of the night and in total darkness point a flash light to the picture quickly as soon as you wake up and eventually you will get what was on the picture. Sounds too good to be true, but it doesn't hurt to try. I want to hear from the people who do these kind of things like meditation and other related stuff and who have actually received what they wanted through these kind of methods. Okay I have liked this guy for about 5 years now. Why are IAS toppers of India are not able to speak Indian national language 'Hindi' correctly ?

Three top IAS rank holders of recently declared civil services examination conducted by Union Public Service commission(UPSC) of India, all women, were interviewed by Indian TV news channels in Indian national language Hindi. All answered well in details but none of them was able to speak correctly in Hindi. The top ranker Smt. Shubra Saxena, while answering a question said, "Mere ko maloom hai ki kya karna hai." She should have said MUJH KO instead of 'mere ko'. She belongs to Ghaziababd of UP, the hindi heartland. The third ranker from Raipur, MP, said, " Taiyari kaise karna hota hai" instead of "Taiyari kaise karni hoti hai". She too belong to a state of Hindi language. The second ranker is from Punjab has mother tongu Punjabi & so was worse in speaking Hindi. This is the condition of so called top bureaucrates of India. Can't UPSC do something to improve the standard ?

Abortion because I am going on jeopardy?

I am a HUGE fan of celebrity jeopardy, so I always try out for the regular show whenever I can. I finally made it to the final try-outs and now I am on the show!! One problem though: I'm pregnant. You should at least call your vets office and see if they have any suggestions. It is possible he had some type of seizure and you should monitor him very closely for the next few days. There are rare times when dogs are sleeping and they get so animated that they basically walk in their sleep. However along with your conjectures they are nothing but quesses. Depending upon when the last time your dog got a full work-up from your vet ,even if nothing happens in next 24 hours, I would schedule a check-up and make my vet aware of what happened.

What is the point of banning gay marriage?

The only logical reason I can think of for anyone opposing gay marriage is that they dont want to pay for insurance benefits for gay spouses. But that cant be the only reason. I know some religious people think that its against God. But that doesnt really hold water if you look at it logically. I can get married without ever setting foot in a church...I can go to a courthouse and be married by a judge without any mention of God at all. So why not let gay people get married? What type of insulation should I use to insulate under my kitchen floor?

I live in Portland, OR, so it gets chilly in the winter. My kitchen was added to the house in 1993, and there's a crawlspace below it. During the winter, the kitchen is cold, and the floor is uncomfortable to bare feet, so the obvious solution is insulation. Should I use ordinary Kraft R-13? How does it attach, do I just shove it up between the joists and staple it into the bottom of the floor? Or does it attach to the joists?

Child custody question in california?

My ex and I were in court a few months ago. I was awarded primary custody. We were both present without attorneys. The judge ordered that my ex file and serve a response by June 3rd. I was not served with anything. The judge also ordered that I prepare the actual order and file it. I did so that same day. It was signed by the judge 2 days later. Am I responsible to serve my ex with a copy. The judge never said I had to, just to prepare it and file it. I'm concerned because my ex never responded even though she was in court and was told by the judge to respond by the deadline. She was given the judge's minutes(the judge's notes that I used to prepare the order). In the minutes it clearly states that she was to respond by June 3rd. So again, was I supposed to serve her with a copy? She has a legal right to obtain a copy for herself at the courthouse.

Why are my parotid and occipital glands swollen?

Hello, I'm a very bright, mature and articulate guy, but I have a problem. I've been with my current gf for about 6 months. I really care about her. I've sent her flowers to her job more than once, I surprise her all the time with gifts. We talk, laugh , have unbelievable , and get along most of the time. Her family love me and I love them too. Me and her sisters are great friends too. Ok..getting to the point. She has a past. She's been with more guys than I have women. She is all about myspace, contacting people all the time. Nothing wrong with that, but her ex-boyfriend is one of her " friends" on there. So he can see every detail of her life that she puts on there, including our outings. Isn't that weird? I don't like her ex being able to know so much about "our" life. And I also made her drop an ex-lover as a friend because my intuition was bad about him. I'm typically a very open, trusting person, hell...I talk to my ex once every few months. Should I worry about it?

The past few years it has been very very hard on me. I've been moved around, and sabotaged by families. I am in foster care, and have 11 siblings who live in my town; and who are older now, but are drug addicts and criminals, drug dealers and so on. Anyway, I lost my mum on Christmas Day. I lost my cousin on Christmas Eve. The last foster home I was in I witnessed suicide with other kids, and the foster parent was never even around. The one before that; I caught the boyfriend cheating on the foster mom ( which they have been together for 8 years ) & that devastated me. The home before that one; I was sabotaged ( long long story ) ; I basically got told I was used for the money; and got told to leave 2 in the morning with no where to go. Anyway, I haven't been so great in school; with all the drama I've delt with. There was a family I lived with for 12 years; it didn't work out there though...too much yelling, and fighting, and arguing. I got molested in that home by a babysitter, and they didn't believe me. I was left to cry every night, and I just finally ran away. Anyway the family I lived with for 12 years; I've been very missing a family..Considering I live with my boyfriend at the moment. He lives with his mom, and brother and his brothers girlfriend is always there too....and she pisses me off. They say I'm a ***** because I act too mature, and yadda yadda. Anyway...they dont have much money so I don't eat their food, and I am on welfare, and have my own little studio right now in the bad part of town...so I stay at my boyfriends and just buy little snacks to munch on. I have been on the streets before, trying to just not be a burden on anybody. But my boyfriends mother said i was able to sleep here. Anyway....it's not the best place to stay, I don't get along with my boyfriends brothers girlfriend because she is very immature and throws parties that I've been trying to control. My boyfriends mother isn't around much, and when she is she just drinks and sits in her room ( because shes been through alot too ) I'm not a bad kid, I try and I try. I clean up around here, and try and pitch in as much as I can. I'm just sick and tired without being without any guidence. I feel I never lived a childhood, and my life is unfair. It's hard living on your own at age 17, and I missed 1 semester of school; and I feel I'm a failure. I feel I cannot cope anymore, and deal with all this nonsense. My boyfriend helps me out a lot. He works full time though and he has bills to pay and his car isurence, and his mothers rent, and his own food. So he just tries as well. Anyway, I don't know what to do, I can't really describe my life the best way possible, I just feel I've lost everybody along the road, but the 12 year foster home I stayed with said I can move back anytime...but I went their for christmas and the yelling and aruging and constant bickering just brought me back to the old days, were it frusterates me, because i'm not that type of person. I just want somebody, somebody to be there for me. I told the 12 year foster home I would move back, but now I don't feel like it, and I feel.......so lost! i don't know what to do! I don't want to hurt them...yet theyre very strict and argumental people..which I can't take..I've told them to get conselling..but they wont. theyre very stubborn people. Anyone have experience with Adequan injections for dogs?

My dog, Pogo, just turned 10 and she's starting to form arthritis in her hind left knee. We already have been giving her glucosamine tablets (Rejuvenate from Banfield) and they seem to work, albeit only slightly. The vet recommended that we consider the possibility of giving Pogo Adequan injections. Of course she told us that it works amazingly, but I wanted to find out from other pet owners exactly what sort of results we should TRULY expect. Any horrible side effects? Does Adequan only help with the pain or does it help the arthritis from worsening? I would really appreciate hearing from you guys. I can't stand to see my dog get any worse and if this really is a miracle drug, then I want to get on it right away!

Please help me make my decision. I'm a fifteen year old soon-to-be-freshman who really wants to learn how to play soccer and subsequently make JV or Varsity. Do you think she could make it into either of the teams next year if she joins a soccer organization and practices hard from now on? Or would she fail to do so despite her efforts because there are already so many girls out there who have started playing the sport at very young age?
