Gall bladder surgery?

I'm having gall bladder surgery next Friday, and I'm just wondering if anyone else has gone through it. What was your recovery experience? I have 2 young children (3 years and 6 months), so I'm concerned about how long I won't be able to lift and how long I'll be out of commission. Thanks.
