English Mastiff or Great Dane?

I have done alot of research on both breeds and they both seem to be alot alike. Is there any major differences that would help with my decision? I am a bit of a fan of english mastiffs but i want to make sure i am getting the right dog for me. I will be moving into a medium sized apartment or house and am able to give which ever one the excercise it needs.
