Why are my parotid and occipital glands swollen?

I am 13 - 20 years of age, have never kissed anyone and my parotid and occipital glands are swollen and sore. the parotid ones are about the size of a nickel and the ones behind my head are small like peas. I have been sick for the past 2 weeks with a sinus infection. (don't tell me to go to the doctor about the sinus infection, I already did.) they seemed to have appeared 2 or 3 days ago. the parotid ones seemed to have gone down a little. they can be moved and are squishy. please help!!!
