Are we, as Americans, "a nation of whiners" as former REPUBLICAN Senator Phil Gramm of Texas claims?

As yet another example of fat cat Republicans who choose NOT to feel the economic pain of the middle cl, Gramm now serves as vice chairman of the Swiss bank, UBS. Since he doesn't lack his daily ration of caviar and champagne, he expects the rest of us to shut up and suck up our Republican-sponsored economic losses. Gramm is an economic advisor to presidential candidate Senator John Sidney McCain III.
