What is the central conflict in Frankenstein? And how do you feel this conflict helps define the theme?

i like Dennis and his essay. to add mine. poor doctor, he was really misunderstood. he just wanted to help mankind by being able to cure them and give them eternal life. he also had that Jewish name, and so nobody in town liked him. that was why he had to live all by himself on the edge of town. he could not live in a nice apartment in the city.
