I really love him, and he has so many great qualities... but he can be dishonest sometimes?

honesty is a big thing, it is normal for guys to be that way...just ask him to open up more and if he can't then he can't...don't wast your time with him if you want him to open up. but odds are that he won't(but if he loves you he will)
