How do you know that you are not fighting against god when you send armies to the Mid east?

I already think it evil and psychotic to occupy and kill by the thousands in multiple countries that are NO threat to us .. ive lived here all my life .. never seen a 'terrorist' .. im more afraid of drunk drivers, but no ,, soak up the suds is the motto around here ..
