I have to call off work. Please help.?

I have to call off work. I don't drive, and my not so dependable sister is my only transportation and any day that she can actually take me to work, she would rather go to her bf's (which is 30 mintues away) so i'm stuck walking/riding a bike. Today i was going to ride my back. Half way there i am drenched. Completely drenched from the rain. My hair is ruined (despite me trying to protect it with my hood) my cover-up is dripping, i have raccoon eyes. Part of this job is being presentable (customer service, you know) and i surely could not show up drenched. makeup dripping everywhere (with no chance of fixing most of it) and crazy natural hair. i was/am a disaster. i need to call off but i can't tell them, oh, i can't come in because i can walk or ride a bike in the rain. please help me think of a decent reason/excuse. i need this job.
