Period , swimming HELP ! ( girls only please )?
Hope to God that you don't start....but if you do...then consider the following. If it begins before you go to the park, I don't suggest wearing a bathing suit unless you know how to use a tampon. If wearing a tampon is out of the question, since you've never tried and are scared to do so, then you may want to come up with an excuse as to why you can't go on the lazy river. One thing you should know is that your menstrual flow stops when your abdomen is under water...but you'd have to stay in the water, without coming out...or else your flow will start again within roughly 5 minutes. So...if you go in a pool (without coming out for long periods of time) you don't need protection. As soon as you come out though, you should go to the washroom, change, and put on a pad. Now if you don't begin by the time you leave for your outing, then make sure you have some protection with you, just in case...and plan out a believable white-lye ahead of time to tell your friends just in case you do start your period and feel uncomfortable in the water. Good luck!
