Computer Won't Boot?

I have an Asus K8V-X SE motherboard and I recently installed a few new programs I have never used before. Now my computer makes the beep and I get past the Asus boot screen, but before I ever see the Windows screen the screen goes black and says "||Detection failure" . What do I do??
